I just watched off and on but that is truly one of the worst football teams I’ve ever seen. The Lions are now 0-12 with a legitimate chance to go 0-16.
In the brief time I watched I saw the following:
- An opposing running back run for 100 yards in the first quarter
- A 13 yard punt
- 3 fumbles
- A “drive” where the Lions lost yards on 3 consecutive plays then punted
- An interception thrown to a defensive lineman who ran it back for a touchdown
- What appeared to be the NFL’s first 300 pound quarterback in Daunte Culpepper
It’s certainly a contrarian position to root for a team to go defeated (un-undefeated, anti-undefeated, un-perfect ???) but I think it will be a lot more fun than the last 20 years of rooting for these guys.
Go Lions (Stop Lions, un-go Lions, not-go Lions, anti-go Lions ???) !
